Patricia Batton Gaylor, 67, of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, July 30, 2010. A native of Roanoke Rapids, Pat was the daughter of the late James Buchanan and Ola Rachel Ferguson Batton. She was retired from the textile mill with over forty years of service. Pat was a very dedicated member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James C. ''Jimmy'' Gaylor, Jr.; her daughter, Michelle G. Strickland and her husband, Billy Strickland, Sr., of Roanoke Rapids; her son, James C. Gaylor and his wife, Kristie, of Roanoke Rapids; her sister, Judy B. Heutuss and her husband, Carlton, of Rock Hill, S.C.; four grandchildren, Billy Strickland, Jr., Cindy Lee Strickland, Tammy Lynn Gaylor and James C. Gaylor, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, at First Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Dr. Julian Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.
